Boat There are no regular ferries from Kassiopi, but plenty of day excursions to places around the island, and to the Greek mainland. You can also hire boats through many of the travel agents in town, or ask around the harbour.
Bus There are several buses a day linking Kassiopi with Corfu Town to the south, and along the north coast to the resort of
Sidari. The journey to Corfu Town takes about 90 minutes.
There are several
travel agents offering car hire in Kassiopi. Car hire in
Greece is not cheap, so try to share if you can. Roads are good and signs on main roads are mostly in English and Greek, but Greek drivers do like to use the middle of the road at all times.
Motorbikes and mopeds These can be rented everywhere and are popular and cheap. They are also a notorious source of accidents among visitors, and many tour companies discourage people from using them.
Taxi Taxis are cheaper than in most parts of
Europe, and most resorts have plenty of drivers. They can be in short supply sometimes in high season, when it's a good idea to book ahead. There are usually fixed fares for specific destinations, which should be posted near taxi ranks. It is still a good idea to confirm the fare before setting off. Most drivers are honest, but some see tourists as easy prey for a rip-off. If you have any serious problems, insist on contacting either your holiday rep or the tourist police
